I swear by that schit.  My old 12-mile ruck march remedy was:

 

Mile 4: 1000mg Motrin and a Budweiser.

Mile 8: King Sized Snickers, and a Midol.

Mile 12 (when you're done): another 1000mg Motrin, go home, take a hot shower, and have alot of Budweiser.
