blue109 Posted July 29, 2014 Author Report Posted July 29, 2014 I like race too...and one of the goal keepers during world cup was named rais, and I thought that looked cool and could be pronounced like race, so I looked it up and it's some word for Muslim sea captain or leader. had to nix it. maybe rhys. Rhys millen is a boss in motorsports
washguy Posted July 29, 2014 Report Posted July 29, 2014 Hold on......maybe a Muslim name would be a good idea......in 10 //12 years they will kill all of us infidels and your son will survive...go with abbas, iishlas or sumsuch? <lmao> Wash
MaDuce Posted July 29, 2014 Report Posted July 29, 2014 Doesn't no va mean no go in Spanish? I dunno but it means "you" in Russian.
BLKSHEEP Posted July 30, 2014 Report Posted July 30, 2014 How about South East <lmao> My first boy name was Parker, but that was with wife#1 and he never came along. Maybe Aurora Borealis, <dontknow>
shibiwan Posted July 30, 2014 Report Posted July 30, 2014 (edited) You could make a claim to being a BSG fan and call him Apollo, and still stay on-track with the celestial theme. P.S. Nova is too androgynous a name. It lacks that masculinity required in a boy's name. That's like a fancy "Pat" or "Tracy" or "Jordan." P.P.S. My 17yo daughter wanted Nova for her middle name when she gets adopted... but has since changed her mind. Edited July 30, 2014 by shibiwan
washguy Posted July 30, 2014 Report Posted July 30, 2014 the only upside I see to Nova...if he goes transgender on you...he's got both bases covered <lmao> Wash
blue109 Posted July 30, 2014 Author Report Posted July 30, 2014 lol. I am a BSG fan, so frack off :P I like Rome and Zion so far. not sure where wife is at. she keeps liking complicated stuff with too many letters.
washguy Posted July 30, 2014 Report Posted July 30, 2014 (edited) Demetrius ? :) Wash Rowan.....irish and gaelic Lars Scandinavian Edited July 30, 2014 by washguy
shibiwan Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 (edited) lol. I am a BSG fan, so frack off :P I like Rome and Zion so far. not sure where wife is at. she keeps liking complicated stuff with too many letters. Women tend to overthink the simple things in life.... Rowan.....irish and gaelic Lars Scandinavian IMO.... Rowan ....and avoid Lars. That automatically makes the kid an asshøle/douchebag. Edited July 31, 2014 by shibiwan
DNP Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 Boy number two for us will be Shi-Thead, if he ever comes around. How about Blue?
Microgunner Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 Tell her you're naming the boy dammit! She just needs to worry about producing you a son. What's the world coming to when mothers have veto power over the naming of sons.
shibiwan Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 (edited) If I were in your shoes, I'd veto everything the woman says, and stick with an old viking name.....pick something you can easily grunt across the room!!! <lmao> Edited July 31, 2014 by shibiwan
blue109 Posted July 31, 2014 Author Report Posted July 31, 2014 lol. I named the girl too. I keep telling her I'm picking whatever I want because she will still be drugged up or asleep.
Matt.Cross Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 LOL I second the vote for Rowan! R. Atkinson is epically awesome.
sketch Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 How about Roman I now a guy he's all right I guess :) http://m.ohbabynames.com/?ref=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.yahoo.com%2Fmobile%2Fs%3Frewrite%3D72%26.tsrc%3Dapple%26first%3D1%26p%3DBaby%2Bname%2Broman%2Bdefinition%26pintl%3Den%26pcarrier%3DAT%2526T%26pmcc%3D310%26pmnc%3D410%26fr%3Donesearch&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ohbabynames.com%2Fmeaning%2Fname%2Froman%2F1392

Sisco Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 Just call Sol! Nah, not the best idea, never mind.
DNP Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 My Chainman I work with every day just had his boy this morning. They were very quiet about what the name would be. Roman James...
Microgunner Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 Darth Sidious. The fact that you even know that name has me a little worried about your Star Wars geek status. :-D
shepp Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 The fact that you even know that name has me a little worried about your Star Wars geek status. :-D And shibiwan didn't?!?
Microgunner Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 And shibiwan didn't?!? Oh, that's what that's referring to. I thought it was a Chinese thing. I'm from the pre Star Wars generation. All my Star Wars knowledge was accidentally absorbed from my kids.
shibiwan Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 vader Um... that's my dog's name... Dog Vader (he's a black great dane)
