Aero Precision M5 Limited Edition Set

^^^ Yep. Entry wound is 0.081", and the exit wound is 0.120"... <lmao> -
Damn, Angel...

Same profile as standard grip panels - not different, thickness-wise. Hell of alot grippier, though. There are two different versions - one set has the little MagPul emblems on them, for grip, just like the standard pistol grips and the vertical grip. This set I got had more grip. MOE Grip Panels: MOE Grip Panels, TSP: Damn things are GRIPPY! Created as an evolution of the original MOE 1911 Grip Panels, the 1911 Grip Panels with TSP texture offers the user a more aggressive texture allowing for better control of the weapon in all environments. Constructed of heavy-duty reinforced polymer, the grips have a unique diamond-shaped cross section to prevent twisting in the hand, an aggressive magazine release cut-out, aggressive TSP texture (Trapezoidal Surface Projections) for positive control, and are compatible with ambidextrous safeties. The grips are designed to fit full size framed 1911s with standard grip screw bushings.

They just announced the ASO .308 lower (blemished) for $125... http://aeroprecisionusa.com/aso-lower-blem.html -
^^^ That right there is exactly what the Prusik knot is for. Tie a Prusik, and you don't need to carry that extra aluminum thing... <thumbsup>

Gettin' a little warm to grill around here. So, fire up the crock pot and let it do it's thing. 7lb seasoned pork shoulder, sliced potatoes, carrots, onions and garlic, celery, mushrooms and small peppers. Smother the pork shoulder in a can of cream of mushroom soup, toss in everything else, crank it up to high and don't stop until you put a fork in the pork shoulder and it falls apart. Yum.

Damn nice setup, once again. Don't know what's up with the serial numbers in the pics - that one above was ASO-0285, or something. The one I got is ASO-00XX. I have two other lowers with low numbers, so this'll fit right in with them. You bastages better hurry up, I'm just sayin'. FDE upper/lower sets still available (black gone), both colors on the upper/lower/rail are available, full rifles are sold out. -
Complete parts kits, cerakoted FDE? Nope, nothing you can select and put in a cart. Several companies will cerakote anything you anna send them, though. Worth some research and a call.

No, we're not both right. But you have a great day, thinking that. Have a good one, Fark. -
That vid reminds me alot of South Korean construction. That stuff is scary...

Infantry always should have had them, without a doubt. However, because the M4A1 started going to the infantry, doesn't mean "Regular Army is getting the M4A1." It would help this discussion if you had a clue as to what you were talking about. Your confusion is the whole reason it got to this point. This is your comment from before, with your link from before - and I did read the article, before I made my comment. -

Hey Farkle, this is what the rollmark looks like on the Regular Army M4 Carbines. The Army firearms just don't start with the "LE" serial number... Look at that rollmark closely - it doesn't say "M4A1" on it... The SN on my issued M4A1 was W318708. Still have the weapons card for it. Someone else is probably using that carbine right now, at Fort Lewis. <thumbsup> -

^^^ Very good article, with very good links in it. I think I called the fall of Colt some time ago, right here on this board. Can't remember... -
That is the whole reason earthquakes eff places like that up so bad...

^^^ Which was horse poopy, too. 3-rd Burst was a bunch of $hit, and never should have been in any combat firearm. That development was a holdover-mentality from VN... -
If you want to get really tricky, and you need a knot that is super-secure, but easy to untie... Then never, ever use a Figure 8 knot. That fucker, once tension is put on it, is damn hard to untie. In any instance where you think a Figure 8 knot is the way to go - slap yourself. Tie a Wireman's Knot instead. It's 4 interlocking bights onto itself, non-slip in any direction, and is easy to untie. Break just one bight free, and the rest of the knot comes undone easily. Thus endeth the knot sermon... Lemme know if you need video demonstrations.

Knots - learn the Bowline. Non-slip knot in any direction. Perfect for an anchor knot. So many uses, it's not even funny. Prusik knot. Sliding knot, but when tension is on it, it doesn't go anywhere. Perfect for tensioning a section, and if it gets loose, slide it to re-tension. Locks in place due to tension. Overhand knot. Many uses, and you already know this one. Half-Hitch knot (and Double Half-Hitch). Good anchor knot for short duration. Can loosen over time. Round Turn - nothing more than an extra wrap of cord around the tying base. Round Turn with a Half-Hitch is a good security knot, temporarily. Clove Hitch - used in the Old West to tie the horses to a post. Quick knot to tie, medium security, non-slip most of the time. Know those, and you can damn near tie anything up, anytime, in any manner or fashion you so choose. <thumbsup>

No, Regular Army isn't issued M4A1s. Regular Army is issued, however, the M4 Carbine. -

I'll point it out to you, in a simple manner. Blanket statement by the idiot that wrote the article - Colt was 3-rd burst. FN makes them full auto. I even quoted it. i think it's funny, you telling me what the Army issued. When I was issued the M4A1, in 1995. Based on this statement from you, Fark, I'm not sure YOU know the difference between the two: -
The Hello Kitty is DEFINITELY a classy touch, brother... <lmao>

I have a bunch of them, and there are still copies floating around the www - they can still be pulled down. Just search for a specific tech note (by number), and you'll find it. If you can't, I'll search for it and find it somewhere out there. <thumbsup> Most of those tech notes were written by, and are the intellectual property of, Pat Raley, the former Primary Armorer for them... Miss ya, Pat. You should check in once in awhile, brother. :happydrunks:
