blue109 Posted January 18, 2017 Report Posted January 18, 2017 I've had a painful hangnail for a few days and today it was all fat and sensitive so I started mashing down on the nail....and a nickel sized blob of goop shot out onto my pants. Pretty fricken gross...but feels muck better. Made me think of this thread. Wish I took a video.

Armed Eye Doc Posted January 19, 2017 Report Posted January 19, 2017 I had an infection under my thumbnail near the cuticle. A needle wouldn't get through to give it relief. I got a tiny drill bit and cordless drill (thankfully almost dead and slow) and made a hole. Pus came our for several days. My doctor looked shocked that I used a drill.

I did near the same, but I heat up a small nail with a lighter, and burned through the nail. I actually waited two days to do it, and the blood was all old and black.
