Big hello from Kentucky, to all the .308 community!! I want to first give a shout out to all those who are currently or who have served in any way to defend the greatest nation in the world! And to those who made the ultimate sacrifice, my family and I will be thinking of you this Memorial Day weekend.

It feels good to finally be a member of this forum. I have been a frequent visitor for sometime now and have gained lots of knowledge and insight into the .308ar due to this forum, so thanks to everyone on here for that. I am new into building and look forward to conversating with you all.

Thank you all for the welcomes. I didn't really get into a whole lot of .308 talk last night but just to fill in a few gaps, I just finished my first .308 build which in fact was my very first ar build ever. I wouldn't say that I'm a noobie when it comes to guns but as far as building it was a different world. Within the first couple weeks of beginning to research parts, I was HOOKED! Oh boy, this is not going to be good, I thought to myself and my ole lady saw a change in me too. Every moment I wasn't working or had an opportunity to sit down I was researching or reading or looking at something that had to do with building. I have seen where some of you have warned new builders of the bug before, well I tell you, I got it! Anyways I will post my parts list and build in the appropriate section but I also I have run into some problems so I will also be starting a topic on that. Thank you all again for welcoming me.
