Wrench flats on 308 bird cage flash hider?

Can anyone please tell me what the wrench size is on a 308 birdcage flash hider? Thanks in advance.

Medium pipe wrench 

I ended up using an adjustable wrench, couldn't seem to get a good snug fit from any of my SAE wrenches. Buffer tube wrench had a slot that fit well but the wrench was flimsy and awkward.

Did the same I got a thin crescent adjustable I use at work that I've used for all my muzzle devices

Pretty sure ive only ever used a crescent wrench for flash hiders. I have a smallish thin one.

I have a 12" Crescent wrench that ground down to a thinner profile for something several years ago and have been using it on muzzle devices ever since then.

They should really call that a multi-tool. It makes a good hammer when you need one too.

Glad you brought it up, it answers a question I was going to have to answer soon myself. Now I will go grab my trusty ol' No7 Crescent.

This is the one I use, it’s narrower than your standard. 

 

I like them for Work Cuz they open much wider
