Home loadez scared me silly then the 270 but as I aged my faves were the 454 casule revolver and a 7 rnd 50 cal desert eagle ive tamed it down two fold and you know from here.. I love me some 308!!! planeflyer21
Probably about the same as most of you. Except the C3 Mod 0 Steam Catapult...sometimes we would shoot less-lethal E-2C Hawkeyes, but our lethal loads varied from ASW Lockheed S-3 Vikings and Grumman EA-6B Prowlers to F-14A Tomcats, A-6 Intruders, A-7 Corsair IIs, and the then-new F-18A Hornets. 98Z5V
Everything in the US inventory from a 106mm recoilless rifle, on down. Plus, a foreign weapons instructor, so a lot of foreign weapons junk. You need to be a MAN to shoot a 106 once. You need to be a REAL MAN to shoot the thing TWICE. The damn thing has a .50 cal mounted to the side of it for a "spotting rifle." It rattles you to the very core, when you "push." Those that have shot it will know what I'm talking about. This could be an interesting thread .... I'll start.... Carl Gustav 84mm recoilless rifle (aka M3 MAAWS -- JOYGASM!!!) I'd be interested in this story, because all the US Gustavs are 90mm (the M67). I'd like to know how you got your hands on the 84mm foreign version. There aren't many around. I've shot the SCHIT out of the 90mm version. The 84mm CG was standard issue - I served in a foreign military (Singapore) as a recon in an armored unit 20+ years ago before I moved to the US. Like the 106, the 84 packs a hefty punch too, and we had "surplus ammo" days where we had to fire almost everything we have just to rotate the ammo stock - it was totally insane. Back then, we were running tons of US hand-me-downs, including refurbed ACAV M113's from 'Nam....

blue109
. I had the pleasure of foreign weapons and foreign vehicle classes. Several Warsaw heavy MGs whose nomenclatures escape me. About 15 AK variants. Suppressed uzi and mini uzi Integrally suppressed Sterling (coolest quietest SMG ever) MP5s Suppressed MAC10 (most useless SMG ever) RPG7 All the normal US mil stuff. M249 M240 (God I love that thing) M2 Big stuff 120mm main gun (Abrams) LAW AT5 MK19 Also got an awesome class out in the sandbox. The SF team we were supporting dropped some explosives knowledge on us. We played with det cord, C4, dynamite. Learned how to make uli knots. Filled picket posts with C4 and disintegrated wire obstacles. Final project was an improvised land mine out a a 5gal oil bucket loaded with all sorts of nastiness. They set it in the back of an old shot up cherokee. The thing popped like a balloon. Edited September 22, 2013 by blue109

Cabinetman
Pretty much owned and shot every single semi-auto military rifle and most of the civi stuff on the lists. However! I've only shot a few MGs and had the opportunity to burn 650 rounds of my precious 7. 62 x 51 surplus on an H&K 21 belt fed. I couldn't wipe the grin off of my face for about 4 hours. A buddy graciously invited me to one of the local ranges and we had a blast, no kidding. I also shot a suppressed .9mm full auto but I'm embarrassed to say I forgot the nomenclature. Suppressed, however, no muffs were needed as the sound was amazingly quiet! It's been while since I've really enjoyed a few hours at a range. Thanks, Rob, if you read this. 392heminut
Now I HAVE shot a 1928 A1 Thompson! I was at an armorers class put on by the DOE out on a range at Kirtland AFB. They had two of those guns in the vault. We had a range day and pulled several guns out of the vault to shoot. While the youngsters where all falling over each other to shoot the MP5's me, another older guy taking the class and one of the instructors were busy burning up 1000 rnds of 45 ACP in that Thompson. It was a blast!
