Spartan
Anyone running the VG6 Precision Gamme 7.62 brake? http://www.vg6precision.com/index.php?id_product=26&controller=product I got to shoot my 308 this past weekend with the VG6 7.62 Gamma brake. I was really blown away by how little recoil it made the 308 have. Hardly any muzzle climb either. Very impressive brake. The machining and finish on it is top notch too and easy to clean unlike some other brakes I've had. I liked it so much, i ordered one of their 556 Epsilon brakes for my 556 18" gun. Good option for those looking.
Robocop1051
Not horribly priced either. It vaguely reminds me of the Cason Eng version, except Cason is made out of Ti.
Spartan
I think i paid $82 for it at primary arms.

D.R.D.
Have you read this? It seems the principles and similar design to a slightly larger .30 cal brake would apply as well: http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2015/04/jeremy-s/ar-15-muzzle-brake-shootout-2/

EngrBob
So many choices and opinions. I just went with the Miculek. Between this brake and Slash's buffer, my .308AR has less kick than my AR-15 which has no brake.
Cali_Ed
So who has the best brake for the money?
EngrBob
The Miculek is relatively inexpensive, between $60 and $70.

D.R.D.
I believe that guy is doing round 3 of testing this August. He'll be comparing the top brakes from the first 2 trials against some others that haven't been included yet. Some of the manufacturers don't make .308, though. Miculek seems the best bang for the buck.
blue109
I have a miculek in the parts box. Worked great. Was pretty brutal on the sides. I was spotting for a buddy and he let one go right near my head before I had my ears on. Rung me pretty good. Also...maybe shouldn't matter but it's ugly. Uses a jam nut to lock it down so it leaves a little gap. Also just made a trade deal for one of those VG6 gammas. Plan on slapping it on my 18" SPR. D.R.D.
Blue109, Be curious to hear your take Eden you put the VG6 on, as they tested to be a little less effective at lowering recoil than the Miculek
Cali_Ed
Are the charts for 308? I was under the impression from the previous article it was all
blue109
Those charts are all 5.56. I think they were just posted as a reference. Maybe I should clarify I was talking about 5.56 for my miculek and VG6. DRD..that gun is currently running a stag comp. Maybe I'll try all 3 back to back. Cali_Ed
They need to do it for 308 lol, I may do a comparison between the benny I have now and if I decided to get the pa m42 brake. Do they just use a normal sled?
Robocop1051
Farkle and I have a large accumulation of muzzle devices. We had a plan to make a .308 version this summer. Unfortunately, his masters degree program and my newborn twins distracted us.... we obviously have zero dedication or reliability.

.308LiteHunter
The miculek brake on my .308 has some brutal blast! If I go to the range I make sure to sit a few tables away, and even then the blast has knocked stuff off other shooters tables. I hunted with it one time without earplugs...just once.
