I owned an M1A for years, so I didn't want to switch ammo. I'm still trying to outfit it to my needs. I like to keep things simple, Holosun red dot, 2-point sling, Magpul mags, and that's about it. Any suggestions? Hit up Tactical Tailor, look for a MAV 1-piece or MAV 2-piece (whichever one you'd prefer), and add their 308 mag pouches with it. Great setup. Just put in a Geissele SSA-E trigger in the gun. Have not shot the gun yet, but looking forward to it!! This looks like a great forum and I hope to learn a lot here! This looks like a great forum and I hope to learn a lot here! I made the mistake of getting a couple of the plastic lowers from Tennessee Arms. You cannot use a Giessele or Right to Bear trigger with them. Somehow it hangs up the bolt after a couple shots. I wasted a lot of hours figuring out what the problem was, and I ended up getting a couple of drop in timney triggers and it works fine.
