We were popping them on the lake with a .220 Swift. Wait for them to surface on the glassy morning water, and then clip them in the top of the head. You barely get a 2" patch to shoot at, but it also saves the hide.

If you're hungry enough, anything is edible...  <lmao>

Check it, brother...

I'll amplify this, the coonasses (term of endearment. For those of you easily butt hurt get over it) down here don't have to be hungry to eat anything available. I know oil guys who put crab traps on deep sea diving remotes and bring up the crabs and boil them. These are not "Deadliest Catch" Kings or Opelias. We don't know what the hell these things are, but the guys eat them anyway. :cookoo:

Are those things edible? Our would you even want to eat one?

Think I saw some guy eat one on bizarre foods, but I don't think it would be my first choice to eat........but hey I like squirrel

Shepp, I keep saying we'll have a squirrel feed out on this place, and everyone says they'd like to eat them critters (except my wife), but nobody who would eat 'em knows of a recipe or anyone who has a recipe.

Do you have a squirrel recipe?

Squirrel is a rat with fur.Just sayin.Went out to the ol'ladys friends house and Jerry shows up with a bunch of them critters he just shot.So he said "help me clean em" thinkin I was gonna get grossed out. I said sure,he put a slit in the back of the neck stickes his fingers in and pulls the fur off.So I did the same thing and torn the little rodent in half WTF. Ain't alot of meat to them thing and they looked like a bunch of rats. But hell I'll eat anything that's why I'm so skinny. ^-^

Aka fuzzy tailed tree rats

Gnat mom used to par boil them and then BBQ them in the crock pot or make home made pot pie with them. Same with rabbit

I herd or have a recipe some where but all I know is soak them in milk over night then season to taste camping recipe?

Yes me too, might be in the Miss Kay cook book

That works!! These rats are big enough for me and abundant in my hood!!

When I was way younger my buddy and I were let loose in green river park to skate and gparents were none the wiser to the sling shots !! We bated them in with tick tacks and hit them with marbles! We lost the fight that day as the squirrel bit my friend and ran up my leg after he grabbed it by the tail! I have yet to eat squirrel but I'm game for anything if it happens camping?!

It's always the blonde ones.  I've discovered that.

I think I'm moving on to something MUCH more safe.  I need to find a redhead, either a stripper or hairdresser, and named TIffany.  Done!

MUCH safer than what I'm doing now, that's for certain.

Already found a hot hairdresser, LOOKS like a stripper (crazy hot body), but the name is Adria...

Do I do it?... <dontknow>

EDIT - She's a redhead...

Natural or dyed?  Watch for those blonde roots.
