It was easily 80 degrees warmer than that here today.  80 degrees...

Yeah but then I would whine about how hot it was in July. Face it I’m never happy with the weather. But then again, the women down there actually do wear swim suits, don’t they?:hail:

Cold is great in my book, keeps the riff raff out. I've worked and played in it my whole life and don't see that changing, Iowegian through and through. There is something about that below zero air that makes me feel alive...... and I get the range all to myself!

Works great, six different rifles and two pistols over the last week and no issues! None of these weapons have had issues with cold in the past though, if it doesn't function below zero I don't own it long.

Up here we get an Iowa cold snap, we break out the shorts and tank tops. Three feet of snow on the road to the public range. Won’t be open until April.

Floating around in my emails...

This brand spanking new Airbus 340-600, the largest passenger airplane ever built, sits just outside its hangar in Toulouse, France without a single hour of airtime.

Enter the Arab flight crew of Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies (ADAT) to conduct pre-delivery tests
on the ground, such as engine run-ups, prior to delivery to Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi

The ADAT crew taxied the A340-600 to the run-up area.

Then they took all four engines to takeoff power with a virtually empty aircraft Not having read
the run-up manuals, they had no clue just how light an empty A340-600 really is.

?ui=2&ik=8a8cb6882c&view=fimg&th=1609e144931c044f&attid=0.8&disp=emb&realattid=80b6e150e059a1c7_0.0.1.3&attbid=ANGjdJ80rLPxFf_Om74C49ANo9uyZKX4WQcNCRLCcYxHNS2HalBY8eq7oLU3wQnEUahstAY6PmQ66V1AFC2_XqXit62jvBg7Rh2OOUDLYTXeqzSJ4SrN-7oMn0eLvVE&sz=w1144-h800&ats=1514500175312&rm=1609e144931c044f&zw&atsh=1

The takeoff warning horn was blaring away in the cockpit because they had All 4 engines at full
power. The aircraft computers thought they were trying to take off, but it had not been configured
properly (flaps/slats, etc..)
?ui=2&ik=8a8cb6882c&view=fimg&th=1609e144931c044f&attid=0.3&disp=emb&realattid=80b6e150e059a1c7_0.0.1.4&attbid=ANGjdJ-KR7xrFLKlc2i7YFA3Iyas59OXyzMDsXks_UzfgrhEwtaBnl3XboW7qaapkduSpAMDWgH1w3JdfW9N4oEusgvBi5W0Ovl9QobgxvSG2JCZYn-OYA9bXijxkF0&sz=w1170-h806&ats=1514500175312&rm=1609e144931c044f&zw&atsh=1
Then one of the ADAT crew decided to pull the circuit breaker on the Ground Proximity
Sensor to silence the alarm. This fools the aircraft into thinking it is in the air. The computers
automatically released all the brakes and set the aircraft rocketing forward.

?ui=2&ik=8a8cb6882c&view=fimg&th=1609e144931c044f&attid=0.1&disp=emb&realattid=80b6e150e059a1c7_0.0.1.5&attbid=ANGjdJ-fjBo6Gg1Wu7VuH-8nHRN1C3SNNztrZIZ1cYHMfY3Spv6QEuatKRg6HsKQGlH0GPiF_oV5rPep8iKZgP2V8KTLg6OJVUhY6YzPAwal9UD-CWWC-0ww-mxIRYU&sz=w1168-h854&ats=1514500175312&rm=1609e144931c044f&zw&atsh=1
The ADAT crew had no idea that this is a safety feature so that pilots can't land with the brakes on.

Not one member of the 7 man Arab crew was smart enough to throttle back the engines from
their max power setting, so the $200 million brand-new aircraft crashed into a blast barrier, totaling it

The extent of injuries to the crew is unknown due to the news blackout in the major media
in France and elsewhere. Because.........
?ui=2&ik=8a8cb6882c&view=fimg&th=1609e144931c044f&attid=0.7&disp=emb&realattid=80b6e150e059a1c7_0.0.1.8&attbid=ANGjdJ-aYZhn3Qg_bXb48kifnjSucr8THXogINVNqhwtPnoVZzeidz-DWWFOwxp0cbdqMfp5wIuNnDKjZ95thNlfPI-NaO5WRaeWDcEzE2zP70zeAIHAf248VWHA5Jg&sz=w1222-h834&ats=1514500175313&rm=1609e144931c044f&zw&atsh=1
Coverage of the story was deemed insulting to Muslim Arabs.

Finally, the photos are starting to leak out.

One French Airbus: $200 million dollars
Untrained Arab Flight Crew: $300,000 Yearly Salary
Unread Operating Manual: $300
Aircraft meets retaining wall and the wall wins.

PRICELESS!!!

"And that's why Allah gave them camels"!

HAVE A GREAT DAY............ God is great!!!

That happened 11 years ago in 2007. The A360 is no longer the largest plane in service, the A380 is. I have seen one, it is a monster! Rest of the story is factual.
