blue109
another reason to hate troy. http://troydefense.com/troy-sporting-rifle/?utm_source=Troy+Industries+Mailing+List&utm_campaign=e4823eb8a1-TROY_THANKSgiving_Sale11_26_2014&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_a96796a9a6-e4823eb8a1-96435297
planeflyer21
I wouldn't mind a pump-rifle with P-mags.
unforgiven
I'll just keep my D.I. rifles. :))
Sisco
Ho Hum, maybe if you live in Conneticut, Massachusets, or California. My sympathies to you guys.
edgecrusher
I live in Massachusetts, you'd be surprised that it's not as bad as it's made out to be.
blue109
hadn't even heard of it till just now. looks like a cop out to me. all the looks with half the function. an acceptable level of scary black rifle for all the nobodies. Not that troy hasn't made it clear what team they play for. keep giving those inches.

StainTrain
Just kidding! Looks like an AR to me. I bet it will move off the shelves in some of the communist controlled states.

bubbasks
It has a purpose. Not made specifically for restritive states but for use in certain levels of competitions where the use of a non semi auto can either get you into different classes or less restrictions on your hardware
planeflyer21
I like pump action rifles. They're fun!
george_995
This would be fun to play with, especially with 300blk and .223 subsonic ammo. I wonder how short they made the throw of the pump?

Robocop1051
Good to know. I didn't even think about that. Kind of like how they converted the 10/22 into a "straight bolt" for certain tournaments. .. ie; the Olympic biathlon.
HansRey
As Dumb and ugly it looks. I will be honest that it would be pretty cool. I probably wouldn't buy it, but I wouldn't mind getting some hands on with it.
shibiwan
But Hans... you can PUMP IT UP!

HansRey
@shibiwan, that's the whole point! You can't pump it up with something to pump with. So I can pump this up! unless you are getting at using pumping it up as a way to make it more popular. Such as "I am Hans and this Franz, And We are here to Pump This Up. And it would be a montage of people using the pump on this rifle..."
98Z5V
Anything that any company can do that gets around any fucked up state's semi-auto Black Rifle restrictive laws, and butt-fuks that state right where they need it... I support. 100% and then some. I like what Troy is doing with this, for the reasons that they're doing this, and I'll probably buy one just based on that. I want mine folding to the left, so it doesn't interfere with the ejection port. Edited December 2, 2014 by 98Z5V
blue109
I don't see it as getting around anything. its just a pump gun that looks like the coveted evil military grade assault rifle that kills babies. I see it as a marketing ploy to regain a little lost revenue, while further pacifying the poor bastards who live in nanny states. I see it as something the antis can point at as use as an example of why we don't NEED semi auto weapons of war on our streets. its not taking advantage of any loophole, its a complete concession. this rifle might as well come with a white flag hanging off the end of the barrel, and a shipping label to slap on the box you plan on surrendering your 30rd mags in for the next round of concessions. That's a pretty narrow way of looking at it, but to each his own...
survivalshop
I see it as just another choice for an AR type firearm configuration , like the Crossbow AR , to each there own .

I support that point of view, brother - I do. However, comma, pause for effect... If it puts an AR_looking rifle into someone's hands - in a nanny state - and other people see that... I wan't politicians, those ones that don't know a damn thing about "assault rifles" in the first place - those same a$sholes that rammed legislation down their constituent's throats... I want THOSE bastards scratching their heads and thinking "With those SAME things still out there, legally, WHAT DID WE ACCOMPLISH HERE?!!?" I want to be the one to respond to them, and rightfully tell them - you haven't accomplished $hit, besides a failed attempt to destroy the 2nd Amendment and the United States Constitution. <thumbsup>
