Here in Northern Wisconsin I've got 8" in the yard.  Better them than us!  She will get spring a month before we do in any case.   😀

Our weather has been moderating. One night it got down to the minus teens. Today in the sun it was 48, but the wind is the killer; makes it much worse. Other than that it's a pretty nice day.

Come on spring weather! It can't come fast enough. 2 more months.

We hit 80* + yesterday, today, tomorrow supposedly.  Supposed to be down to the normal 60-something by the end of the week.

This is not something we need in February.  If it keeps up, it'll be a fukkin brutal summer...

  • 4 weeks later...

So the month of February we had, more snow fall than we had all winter. Maybe put a foot of snow on the ground around the house. Just in a few weeks. We then had a 2 week stretch of cold weather single digit highs and below 0 lows. Started warming up last week which had it snowing and turning to rain. The last 3 days 50° for the high and sunny. That helped dry things out.  Looks to cloud up today but still hit 50°. If I was ambitious I could start doing some yard work where the snow has receded but, it is the last day of the local gun show which, I could find a good deal this morning or just get me out of the cave and socialize.

Got a snowblower, brother?

Oh yeah!   A 42" mounted to the front of my riding mower.   I did mine and 2 neighbor's driveways.  When spring finally gets here the blower comes off and the mower goes on.

Over 10 inches of snow since last night and still coming down at 1:30 pm.  Its the biggest snowfall we have had all winter so far

I guess I shouldn't complain about having to scrape the windshield this morning.

Ironically - I know, hard to believe - I have to do that a couple times a winter down here south of Phoenix, AZ...   :laffs:

As it happens every year, the sun is getting higher in the sky and winter is fighting to stay in control of our weather and spring is fighting to wrest control from winters embrace. That means we can get anything, from blizzards* to spring like weather. So far nothing major in the way of snow. We've been getting an inch that melts in the first few hours of daylight. I can deal with that! Fingers crossed that we have an early spring like last year. I want to get shooting!

*A few years ago we got 2 blizzards 3 days apart. That was "interesting". That was a first.
