Magwa Posted January 24, 2025 Report Posted January 24, 2025 been in the teens, got up this AM expecting 12 to 15 and wow it is 30 time to go fishing ....
BrianK Posted January 26, 2025 Author Report Posted January 26, 2025 Our weather has been moderating. One night it got down to the minus teens. Today in the sun it was 48, but the wind is the killer; makes it much worse. Other than that it's a pretty nice day. Come on spring weather! It can't come fast enough. 2 more months.
Madhouse Posted January 31, 2025 Report Posted January 31, 2025 Shit, I think we'll be in the 80's this weekend.
shooterrex Posted February 1, 2025 Report Posted February 1, 2025 60 deg today rained almost 2" yesterday. All the snow is melted.
Cunuckgaucho Posted February 1, 2025 Report Posted February 1, 2025 They are calling for the first snowfall of the season. We'll see if it amounts to much, mind you 2" of snow here and panic ensues.
Cunuckgaucho Posted February 3, 2025 Report Posted February 3, 2025 Well we got about 3" here today but they're calling for another 6-10" overnight. Hopefull people stay home tomorrow
Armed Eye Doc Posted February 4, 2025 Report Posted February 4, 2025 We got down to 67°F overnight. It will be low 80's most of the week.
KSdefender Posted February 4, 2025 Report Posted February 4, 2025 It reached 60 in the KC area yesterday. Back down to freezing this morning. Highs in the low 40's for the next week or so.
unforgiven Posted February 4, 2025 Report Posted February 4, 2025 Went to almost 60* in the afternoon then another few hours later it was foggy, windy 30* felt like 25*
98Z5V Posted February 5, 2025 Report Posted February 5, 2025 We hit 80* + yesterday, today, tomorrow supposedly. Supposed to be down to the normal 60-something by the end of the week. This is not something we need in February. If it keeps up, it'll be a fukkin brutal summer...
KSdefender Posted February 5, 2025 Report Posted February 5, 2025 60 on Monday. 40 yesterday. 28 and @#$%! freezing rain this morning. Schools closed / delayed. Any highway with elevated portions is basically shut down. A complete mess. Midwest sucks
Jeff300 Posted March 2, 2025 Report Posted March 2, 2025 So the month of February we had, more snow fall than we had all winter. Maybe put a foot of snow on the ground around the house. Just in a few weeks. We then had a 2 week stretch of cold weather single digit highs and below 0 lows. Started warming up last week which had it snowing and turning to rain. The last 3 days 50° for the high and sunny. That helped dry things out. Looks to cloud up today but still hit 50°. If I was ambitious I could start doing some yard work where the snow has receded but, it is the last day of the local gun show which, I could find a good deal this morning or just get me out of the cave and socialize.
Armed Eye Doc Posted March 4, 2025 Report Posted March 4, 2025 @392heminut, did you get hit by the dust storm today? https://www.cnn.com/2025/03/03/weather/new-mexico-haboob-dust-storm/index.html?utm

unforgiven Posted March 7, 2025 Report Posted March 7, 2025 Donated my 2 stage beast for battery snowblower, no more gas products all battery.

BrianK Posted March 10, 2025 Author Report Posted March 10, 2025 As it happens every year, the sun is getting higher in the sky and winter is fighting to stay in control of our weather and spring is fighting to wrest control from winters embrace. That means we can get anything, from blizzards* to spring like weather. So far nothing major in the way of snow. We've been getting an inch that melts in the first few hours of daylight. I can deal with that! Fingers crossed that we have an early spring like last year. I want to get shooting! *A few years ago we got 2 blizzards 3 days apart. That was "interesting". That was a first.
