I think bird needed higher temp for shorter period brother. I was disappointed ☹️ I made sure probe was not on bone.

Try spatchcock method next time they cook faster and more even, just need to grab an old set of your tin shears lol

Firing up this meatloaf today.  Don't have a smoker to cook it in, so it'll get done in the oven, at 325*.  We'll see how it comes out...

Here's the recipe:

That sounds good. Might just have to try that out!

The taste is CRAZY!!!!   I was doubting that combination of spices, thought it was too much - it's not.  That's a badass combination right there, and it give the whole thing a "subtle warmth", but it's not hot.  It was great with the Rufus Teague Touch O' Heat BBQ sauce, about 2/3rds, to 1/3 Sweet Baby Rays hickory & brown sugar.  I'm eating this the rest of the week - it's damn good!  This is my go-to meatloaf shindig, for wuite awhile to come.  I'll be doing this one regularly.  Risk it, do it - you'll love it.

I'll definitely be trying it soon. I guess it did good in the oven then?

Did great in the oven, per the temp directions in the instructions link.  I doubled the size of everything and made it 'UGE...   so I added another hour to the initial cook time.  Came out perfect!

That was my bet with the Sweet Baby Ray's and the Rufus Teague, and it came out fantastic.

I like Stubbs, sweet baby rays is to thick and sweet for me, if you’re ever in a jam try making your own. 1c of ketchup couple table spoons of brown sugar and bourbon, some kinda pepper powder/ black pepper/ hot sauce for some heat and simmer it’s pretty easy, and I bet y’all got what you need in your fridge

this is my favorite part of meat loaf. Fried meatloaf samiches on Texas toast

My leftover so-called “Greek Meatloaf” from last night. Hamburger, Bread cubes, Cavenders Greek seasoning, Ketchup, Worchestershire sauce, Woeber’s horseradish sauce, chopped onion and red pepper, a small shot of mustard, crumbled feta cheese mixed in, and topped with a mixture of bread crumbs and feta cheese(if out of feta, I top with parmesan). Wife loves it. And it is enough to feed us for days.
