Very important gear!  Lots of law enforcement and EMT/paramedics are making them a mandatory part of the uniform.

I have a buddy that's old enough that when he wore safety glasses to annual qualification, he was mocked for being a sissy.  Until he showed everyone a piece of copper jacket stuck in the lens right above his pupil.

The cheap ones from Harbor Freight suffice for me.  When I put out for big name stuff like Oakleys, they walk away with great frequency.

What are you wearing?

I use glasses any way, work ones are poly-carbonate but I have used my regular glasses.Something's better than nothing.

We may need to get you one of those full face shields bro.

Oakleys, I have the Ballistic M frames but use the standard M frame lenses. Those Ballistic lenses have some kind of coating on the inside that starts to peel at the edges and the standard M frames lenses don't. I have to drill a hole in the top center of the standard lenses for the Ballistic frame clip to make them work. I called Oakley about the peeling problem (I had three lense sets that were peeled) and they sent me one replacement. After that I just used the other lenses.

I keep several sets of Wally World shooting glasses around for friends and family to use.

I got some cheap pair of safety glasses I bought a few months back, they get used for both work and shooting, and they are due to be replaced. They have stopped more stuff at work that could be just as dangerous as a bullet...

I use edge saftey glasses with polarized lenses kinda sporty looking and I can see the fish!

My first framing job tought me to wear "z87" grade glasses!

Oakley, Wiley X, and ESS glasses.  I've had all three brands issued at one point or another, and they excel in eye protection. Hell, I've been wearing Oakleys since the first pair of Eyeshades came out in the early '80s.  Still have a pair in a box somewhere.

ESS Crossbows are my favorite so far.  Those things are great.

Don't do 3rd-gear wheelies across intersections, whilst on the motor, and your Crossbows will last longer...  <lmao>

Don't EVEN think I forgot about that story, mister...  <laughs>

That shiit scared the piss outta me. That was day #1 on the Honda ST1300. I dumped the clutch way too hard and damn near lost my azz. That was a big change from my old BMW r1150rt-P

I use just plain safety glasses that double as my shades anyway. 10 bucks from Grainger. That way I don't have to worry if they get scratched or anything. Scratched? Throw em away and put on a new pair.

Yup. I go even cheaper, with the $3 safety shades from HF.

On a completely unrelated note, I'm not sure why as I get older I'm going crosseyed.
