This happened at the Lake Havasu, Az club match last week. It's a given that the RO had his head up his arse but apparently the dipshit picking up brass did too, as he had no idea what was going on until the shooter was right on top of him!

FWIW, this is the same shooting community of NW Arizona, where the instructor placed himself in the completely WRONG area for that girl shooting the Mini-Uzi last year.

If we don't self-police that is what you get.

The Another sad thing is that, when another "official" in that shooting community gets shot...again, the media will jump all over it nationally.

"See? Even shooting experts can't be safe!"

Exactly why was any one on the range during an event !  You could hear firing going on the whole time . :cookoo:

SS, in USPSA shooting there are separate stages in their own bays adjacent to each other. Shooting can be going on the the bay next to yours while you're taping and resetting targets as the berms are high enough to preclude any problems. This is SOP for a USPSA match and has proven safe. The thing is, even with hearing protection on and the fukked up hearing I have I still have no problem in telling the difference between shooting in the bay next to me and shooting in the bay I'm in!

There has to be some way they use or should I say , should use , to red flag a bay while being serviced or could this be a spectator tying to pick up spent brass  , another unknown .

At the 0:20 point in the vid - I have no idea how that guy downrange didn't get shot with those shots...

Those had to have impacted very, very damn close to him...
