Have a Monstrum 6-24x50 FFP scope on order.  Good reviews and wanted to try a FFP scope without spending a fortune.  Just a bit over $200 from Amazon.  Will let you know how it works out.

Got my Christmas present delivered by RFD. My new Crimson Grip green laser grips for the 70 Series Govt. model 1911 45ACP.  Next thing I need is the 2 wheel dolly to attach to carry that piece of blued steel around with. Well it ain't so bad really, I keep it in the house mostly to greet uninvited guests with at night or day.

Reminds me of the bear that had it's front paws burned when the guy shined the laser sight in his eyes on the .44 Magnum S&W. (burn was not from the laser but the flash burn from the round).

Come to an AZ shoot and Tom and myself will workshop your sorry hide into dangerous proficiency.

If you don't believe me, ask JB Matt, I doped him perfectly onto a first-round 300 yard hit, with his .45 ACP sidearm.

Got my first ever Crimson Trace G 401G set of grips for Govt model 70 series 45 cap and got it installed, hardest part was getting the four batteries installed, they fit tight, the green laser is strong and right on with the irons.  Cleaned and oiled the old Colt, put in a new 16# Wolff recoil and trigger spring, checked the extractor and the old gal is ready for a range trip.  I bought the pistol from Carter's in Houston used in 1982. It was my car gun till I retired in 97. I used it to qualify for my Texas CDL the 3 times I had to shoot 2018 is the first time I got my License to carry without attending a class and shooting.
