I found 308ar.com doing some research when I wanted to buy myself a DPMS LR308 in 7.62x51.   That’s where I found the forum.   So here I am.

Welcome are you still looking or have you made your purchase ?

Yep,  I picked up a DPMS LR308 20” from Buds Gun Shop a week and half ago.   I like it, not as much as my FAL’s, but it will do.

This is only because you haven't started investing on customizing it yet... Give us time, we'll drag you over to the dark side.... Kicking and screaming if we have to <outtahere>

Welcome to the forums brother! I like Louisiana a lot, need a good excuse to go back and see it. Used to make the occasional trip to the western half of the state, Dry Creek and Many specifically. Also love the swamps and all that out in the Baton Rouge area, beautiful country out there.

The Dark Side! Ha, I’ve been there for as long as I can remember.   I just jumped off into the real dark side last year.   So for I built 7 AR15’s in two flavors, one dedicated 22cal, 4 M4’s, 1 10 ½ inch barrel pistol, 1 AR15A4 20 inch barrel.   I am waiting on an AR45 to come in.   Now I have this AR10/LR308.

You'll love that 45, brother.  It's nuts.  I never expected a big, fat, slow 45 ACP round to hit anything accurately past 50 yards, but you can ring steel at 200 yards with a 16" barrel.  Can't wait for your to come in, and hear a range report.  When you receive it, post it up, with all the details.   Love it.  <thumbsup>
