Hit it this morning with Kimmy and @JBMatt.  GunPusher John had the idea, and said he wanted to get out there at 9am.  Me and Matt were there, John showed up closer to 11am...   :laffs:

Matt did some more work on 6 ARC loads that he's working on, for @Matt.Cross's Mk12 6 ARC gun.  I took some long guns today, but ended up shooting pistol-only. 19X with the Timney Alpha trigger.

Whenever you see @JBMatt shooting off a table, it's worth it to see what he's doing.  His load development schedule is unreal.  He's putting in work, right here.

I'm working that pistol stuff at 7 and 11 yards, right here.

Spotting Matt...

SDTF can't be rivaled.  Nothing like it.

Kimmy in the neck brace.  The neck brace is HAWT!...  :laffs:

My 5-yard pistol drill.  Had to try it with this new trigger.  Target at 5 yards, steel preferred, so you get immediate feedback.  Shoot 5 yards, turn, walk 5 full steps back away from the target, turn towards target and draw and shoot again.    Keep going until you miss.   I went 58.3 yards today for hits, and missed on 63.8 yards (lasered last hit and first miss).  at 5 yards each, that works out, because here's the 12 hits, one at each 5-yard distance.  Not a bad group, considering the increasing distance.  Know your holds, men.

Parting shot for the day - here's @JBMatt bagging a G17, and hitting a big rock at 400 yards.  YES, he has the hold down for this.  Don't fuk with him and think you can challenge him at this game...  :bitchslap:   You will NOT win this challenge...   :laffs:

Now that I know the hold, I'll give it a whirl off hand on the 460 plate.  Bring it!

I would not say @JBMatt isn't a good shooter.  He is infinitely better than me.  But is he this good?

They expect nothing less.  I admit that I am no match for either of them in a shooting match.  That doesn't mean that I cannot challenge them to improve their skills as I seek to improve my own skills.

Maybe?  I've never tried that shot.  Jerry's using a red dot.  I only have open sights.  But that guy is an absolute machine.  How many bullets do I get?  Will subsonic 9mm even go that far?  I'm holding probably 30 ft over to hit at 450.  🤔

Will these guys here be happy if we pull this at 775 yards?  Or do we really need to go to the off-set site, the Long Range site, and set something up at 1k yards for them?

I think we can pull this at the 609, and the new 775, and be just fine - with pistols.  If we hafta go 1k...  Well then... :banana:

Not for the 1k challenge. I’ll take 338.

I'm in the process of attempting to build a subsonic load with 208 gr, 212 gr or 220 gr for 300 BLK that will be capable of consistent hits at 1k yards.  Maybe a little over zealous, but I want to see if it's at least attainable.  It's really cool to watch 220's through the scope when the sun is right.

Yeah…well I’ll need all the help I can get. Some of us aren’t that good.

I'd rather be lucky than good, any day of the week!  :laffs:

That would put a new spin on .300 Blk.

How would it compare to 6Arc for distance? Way to go brother 🍺🍺

In a gas gun with an 18" barrel, the 6 ARC is running between 2600-2650fps with a 105gr-108gr bullet.  The 300 BLK with a 200+gr bullet is running subsonic, under 1100 fps.  They aren't even comparable, really.  I'm trying it because it's not really something that people would do.  It's kind of dumb and has absolutely no practical use.  But it will be cool to say I did it!  It's just an itch I want to scratch.  Just to see if it's as cool as I think it will be.  I have a feeling its going to be a waste of components, in the long run, actually.

I have @Matt.Cross 6 ARC shooting really well right now.  1000 yds is boringly repeatable.  But I still giggle every time that steel rings.
