Bummer! My little bolt action is very accurate out to 400+. Loves the steel Wolf 123gr hp. I've got 500 rounds of PMC Brass fmj rounds to burn through,  then I'd like to reload them with a good hunting bullet.

Yesterday I ordered a Athlon Midas Gen 2 HD 4.5-27x50 scope.  I sold a couple of guns Sat. at a gun show so I could get a scope for my LR-308.  Now I have to figure out how to break it to my wife that almost half of that money is gone.  The other half will go to pay med insurance for the rest of the year.  When I retired I had good med coverage from the company I retired from.  With the Affordable Care act they converted to a medical expense account.  They have reduced the amount they put in and the cost keep going up each year.  ##**++%%##.

I'm sure he has a special surprise for the fall shoot.  I wouldn't want to deprive him of that gift.  Plus, I plan for my handguard to stay with my rifle.

His handguard stayed on. It just vibrated the muzzle device off. I’m hoping to see some chameleon camo or something fun.

Received my Athlon scope today.  I just ordered a Athlon 30mm 20 MOA mount. It will be here late next week.  Now to get back to reloading some ammo .  Have 500 Lake City brass cleaned, sized, trimmed, and about half of them primed.  Just need to load a few to try out.  Will be FMJ 150gr. and maybe some 150 gr Nosler Ballistic tip.  The Nosler's shoot better than I do at 200 yards from a Remington 700 heavy barrel.    😁😁😁

New EDC, SIG XCompact Spectre. I can’t get over how good my Legion is. This will replace my G43 which I’m bestowing to my wife. Hoping the size and ease of use will get her to carry more, she doesn’t like the guns she owns for CCW. This allows me to use the 15 rd mags it comes with or my 17 rd Legion magazines. The Legion eats out of 21rd mags. I’ll put the same gas pedal and possibly the same trigger in this that I put in the Legion.
