shooterrex Posted January 20, 2023 Report Posted January 20, 2023 The extension has O rings that grip the inside of the BCG.
BrianK Posted January 20, 2023 Report Posted January 20, 2023 I'm not going to check it now, but if I remember correctly the hinge part also has a retention detent that protrudes when the hinge is swung open preventing the BCG extension from coming out. It's fairly bulletproof. Just don't push the actuator button when it's swung open 'cause that's how the extension comes out for disassembly.

So what’s the consensus here on the Law Tactical folding adapter?I’ve thought about it for this pistol lower, but I don’t get warm fuzzy feelings about the spacer that slips into the rear of the BCG. Definitely a chunk of change for something that I haven’t been able to check out in person around here. To address the actual as I re read, you have to give a significant pull to remove the plunger. I've had zero problems with this kit on a hike in a backpack. Edited January 21, 2023 by sketch Commas mean shits

BrianK Posted January 25, 2023 Report Posted January 25, 2023 Whoops! Disregard what I wrote above. I have the Sylvan Arms folder and not the Law Tac'. Mind fart on full display.

Tested for 6 months. Or less.
BrianK Posted January 25, 2023 Report Posted January 25, 2023 Good to know. I'll start looking for a replacement.

Only thing that held me back at the time was that I didn’t like how the main portion of the Sylvan didn’t butt up against the receiver like the Law unit does.
jwb47 Posted March 9, 2023 Report Posted March 9, 2023 I have a few 300 blackout's . 4 to be exact . Remington 700 arc-sd , mini-14 300 blackout , smith and Wesson 16 inch carbine and an 8.5 inch pistol I put together with a cmmg barrel and all the rest was stuff I had laying around with the exception of my yhm phantom suppressor it lives on several different gun's

sketch Posted April 7, 2023 Report Posted April 7, 2023 I'm throwing it in the trash tonight. I can't wear a sling without it folding under no pressure. It worked for like I said 6 months. Not worth it!
98Z5V Posted April 7, 2023 Report Posted April 7, 2023 Only way to go, brother, is the Law Tactical. It's pricey, but it doesn't do that.
unforgiven Posted April 7, 2023 Report Posted April 7, 2023 At least you didn't get hurt with that device brother.
BrianK Posted April 7, 2023 Report Posted April 7, 2023 Yeah, that's what I'd call it too. Unfortunately I have one. 😄 The price was right, now I know why.
shooterrex Posted April 7, 2023 Report Posted April 7, 2023 I have 2 . One on a Grendel and one on a 308. So far so good. I will keep an eye on them.
AngelDeVille Posted April 9, 2023 Report Posted April 9, 2023 (edited) Only two flat tops are this and my .308 Edited April 9, 2023 by AngelDeVille
BrianK Posted April 9, 2023 Report Posted April 9, 2023 When I get some cash I'll pick up a replacement and put the other on a far less critical item. But since I'm far from a hard user of any of my firearms it'll probably work fine for me. I'll still get the replacement though. A'D'V', What is it about your flattop that is so appealing to my eyes? Maybe the fore end? Anyway, nice!

98Z5V Posted February 15, 2024 Report Posted February 15, 2024 YES!!! You didn't tell me it was a Rosco Manufacturing barrel - they make GREAT barrels! 1 hour ago, 308USK said: Toolcraft 5.56 BCG (DLC) I was ready to grab 2 of these in 6.5 Grendel last week, but the DLC versions were out of stock. The only ones I could get were the nitrided ones, and I know they work... but I'm wanting a DLC coated BCG pretty bad, to see how they run. In the meantime, I'll live vicariously through you...

LOL My Toolcraft 5.56 DLC BCG is pretty nice; have a little wear showing (very small amount), but that could be due to the light lubrication on my first run @ the range (thought my gun lube bottle was more full than it actually was, so I only had a wee bit to lube up high-friction places). Since then, I have made sure I put some MilTec1 on before I go to the range (lol).
Rsquared Posted February 17, 2024 Report Posted February 17, 2024 That's a good lookin rifle there. I'm a fan of 300 BLK too. Well done sir. It gets the official R2 seal of approval.
