Breezy at my place today. Got a weather station for Christmas and got it linked up so I can view it from work. Let’s me know if they turn off my power - if I can’t see it, my power is down and I need to get home to fire a generator and keep the fridge alive.

Generator runs on gasoline. Looked at propane gens since I’ll have a 500 gallon tank, but they can eat $75-150 a day in propane. Gasoline gets me by with about $48 max. Will eventually do solar and a battery system to cover the essentials.
no natural gas lines in the mountains.

When I was 32, I was bangin' a 21 year old Blonde bartender.  Her name was Brianne, but to everyone, family included, she was "Breezy".

Everytime someone states that, there's where my mind goes...   :laffs:

Check out a company called Enphase whenever you get around to actually considering it. They make some pretty nice stuff. All modular architecture, and  simplified wiring.

It’s not that bad, but you can burn 2 gallons or more per hour to run it. @2.79/gal here that can add up. 6 gallons of gas last 12 hours or better for me, but that’s still $24-$25 of fuel.

That's who made the controller in my system! I didn't install it but the setup looks pretty straightforward to me. The panels are LG, with their own charge controllers, was told that if a panel looses efficiency it doesn't effect any other panel's output. The Enphase setup lets me log onto a webpage and monitor the output and usage at any time during the day and I can also check the output on each panel at any time.

I don't know squat about solar generating systems (I'm learning fast) but I'm pretty impressed with the Enphase stuff they installed.

Thank God I had the day off!

Think that was Tuesday? I’m not sure I’ve seen that many semis in the ditch in my 24 years of driving.......

No we have hardly gotten any snow compared to the southern counties.

Your kids could build a snow fort in my front yard and claim their own territories lol
