Social control so it begins

unforgiven

Look at British cars....you wouldn't care either. That wouldn't  fly here. In fact, I wish a MoFo would try. Even lefties would blast those politicians straight out of office. Americans of all walks of life tend to make statements with the automobile they drive.

There's a lot of conjecture in those articles! As for Mopar getting rid of the Hemi, that is the first I have heard of anything along that line! I frequent several Mopar musclecar forums and not one thing has popped up on any forum I get on about that happening. I'm not saying it isn't true, but if it is, it's damn sure been kept on the downlow.

That won't work in rural UK anymore than it will work in rural USA. People like that are so incredibly myopic . How did they survive long enough to rise to their positions of incompetence?

Rural, I suspect even suburben areas will have an issue as public transit tends to favor downtown cores. Mind you the people coming up with this crap are people that will not be using public transit but government provided chauffer/vehical.

A couple years ago there was a public meeting involving executive that BC Transit system. One gentleman got to the microphone and his question to the panel was" by a show of hands how many of you took public transit to this meeting?" Not one hand when up.

So 300 people in a city of 651,600 have expressed an interest but  and only 73 cars turned in... not steller numbers.

Also you have people who probably live in the downtown core with easy convienient public transit, live close to were they work chances are the car wasnt being used much thus not having a huge impact on reducing automotive created pollution.

I'm fine with EV vehicles for what the designed purpose is for. Short range vehicles. They're fine for city dwellers, or suburbanites that don't commute long distance. But as a replacement? Nope. Not yet.

Besides, i love seeing the smug face contort when you tell them that their EV is actually powered by coal probably. They just can't except it cause in their little walnut sized brain, they're plugging it in, so it's clean. They're the same ones that have no idea where the water comes from when they use their faucet on their kitchen sink, and have ABSOLUTELY no clue where it goes when it disappears into that whole in the bottom of the sink.

It's all magic to them.

Circling back to the EV. I think that it's pretty obvious (to me at least) that Musk with Tesla, is planning on using these things on Mars (eventually). Tesla is more like an R&D factory for him than just a car company.

What's that saying? to the man with a new hammer everything is a nail. I always like hearing from someone living downtown and working in an office how public transit works for them so obviously it's the solution for everone else.

Here in BC our electricity comes from dams or so people believe and that's the party line the government and utility push. The truth is that at night BC Hydro closes/reduces the taps to the turbines and buys cheap electricity from Alberta next door.Because 87% of electrical generation there comes from coal and natural gas the plants end up producing excess power at non peak times. So BC Hydro buys this power at below cost seeing as Alberta rather get something and offset the loss.

Here's another one to back that one up.  Aaron Lewis.

Think about the words - for both these songs I posted.  The meaning is deep, and it's real.

If you're not a Patriot for this country...   You're nothing more than a Candy A$s.  Do the right thing.  Don't let this country fail, in a miserable heap of liberal bullshiit.

I saw a letter to the editor years ago complaining about animals being killed for meat instead of people buying it in the packages at the market. Doncha know the meat grown in the packages is much more humane.

Eventually, it will all be Soylent Greens.  I read somewhere that that movie was set in 2022.

Then I will be keeping my current Hemi truck for 300,000 miles.
