D.R.D. Posted February 22, 2015 Report Posted February 22, 2015 There are also these that are very popular with the precision bolt rifle crowd: https://www.americanprecisionarms.com/products-page/muzzlebrakes/
98Z5V Posted February 22, 2015 Report Posted February 22, 2015 Had a plan for that thing, and I was ambushed...
survivalshop Posted February 22, 2015 Report Posted February 22, 2015 I have a bad feeling one of these things will be in my possession soon. I've got a really bad itch to build a lightweight 16" midlength 5.56 gun... This schit hit me in the last 48 hours, too... :rant2: Its not catchy is it ? You know what it would do to us here ! <lmao>
Cali_Ed Posted February 24, 2015 Report Posted February 24, 2015 After watching the video of the guy doing the testing, even tho it was on a 556 the 40 dollar dpms jerry brare did better the the 100 m11. Thoughts?
D.R.D. Posted February 24, 2015 Report Posted February 24, 2015 I know, Great deal on the DPMS Miculek. I've heard similar things from Ross Schuler brakes (which look similar and cost less! $45) http://home.comcast.net/~MOA_Shooters/RossMuzzleBrakes.htm http://www.muzzlebrakesandmore.com/ROSS_SCHULERS_PAGE.php
General Posted February 24, 2015 Report Posted February 24, 2015 Anyone familar with this break. Bought for $25.00 on ickbay. Guy said he took it off his store bought 308. Called it a Description Break. Can't find any info although I did see a patent PDF but that's it. Have not shot this rifle yet.
Shwell Posted March 8, 2015 Report Posted March 8, 2015 New here but I have tons of time behind to specific units. I use the VG6 Gsmm 762 Unit and the Lantac Dragon units. These 2 have performed extremely well for me, and i have not found a need to try anything else at this point. My current build will be wearing the Lantac unit.
Robocop1051 Posted March 9, 2015 Report Posted March 9, 2015 ........ You should get a Lantac 7.62... It would look GREAT on a SBR... Have you ever thought about a .308 SBR? If you do, you should get a Noveske barrel for it. Remember that they use AR10 BCG's.

Then I'm going to go to your station and post stills of you crying during said beating all over the place. Then the next time you take the sgt. Exam, I'll be there, wet noodle in hand, to watch you sweat it out.
Robocop1051 Posted March 9, 2015 Report Posted March 9, 2015 You threaten me like we haven't played this game before... I forget, was this a pants up or a pants down beating???
edgecrusher Posted March 9, 2015 Report Posted March 9, 2015 Wrong noodle! And that one won't be limp ya fruit!
98Z5V Posted March 10, 2015 Report Posted March 10, 2015 I am going to beat you with a wet noodle, 3-foot section of cut-down firehose... Sorry, brother - had to jump in there and correct that for ya. <thumbsup>
hired_gun Posted March 15, 2015 Report Posted March 15, 2015 I got this from a company called "Integrix" on ePay. It is actually a concusion reducer for the AR platform. Mine worked nice on my 7.62X39.

This brake is off a dpms gen2 ap4 or moe. Do you have the weight of the brake?
5150k9 Posted May 8, 2015 Report Posted May 8, 2015 I have an 18" bull barrel on the LR308 I just built. Would you guys recommend a Muzzle brake? I was under the impression you don't use 1 on a bull barrel.
Rsquared Posted May 9, 2015 Report Posted May 9, 2015 It's all about personal comfort and preference my man. Brakes and comps just help reduce muzzle rise and recoil. No rule says that you have to use them or not. For that matter, not all barrels are threaded for them. Like I said. All about personal choice.
Spartan Posted May 26, 2015 Report Posted May 26, 2015 Anyone running the VG6 Precision Gamme 7.62 brake? http://www.vg6precision.com/index.php?id_product=26&controller=product
