Total eclipse in Texas

i saw about 85% coverage where im at up north.

I think we saw the same one. It was more hairy than the news reported it to be.

Got the 80mm telescope with a Herschel wedge to view it. It was spectacular. There was a string of sun spots across the face of the sun to boot.

(No, no "wedgie" jokes needed. If you don't know what it is, look it up.)

Shoot, all I could tell was that there was a slight shading during the eclipse if I took off my sunglasses.....actually worked right through it and didn't notice.....

I knew something must be up, there were deer, bear and turkey running all over in the middle of the day. Parking lots on the mountain were full of chevy volts and Toyota Prius with dozens of people laying on the ground staring at the sun.
