DNP Posted May 19, 2023 Report Posted May 19, 2023 He’s got it back for a couple months as a shakedown to see if any problems pop up and to create a punch list. Then it goes back to the shop for a few other parts that have been in order for a while. The guy is making the rear bumper still too. Maybe I’ll drive it out for fall shoot this year.
392heminut Posted May 23, 2023 Report Posted May 23, 2023 I finally drug the Cuda out of storage and got it running. Did ya'll know that 4 year old unleaded gas is green, kinda like antifreeze green? Cable was froze up on the B&M shifter so I just put a whole new shifter in it. I had it parked in the driveway and after about a month my wife got tired of looking at it and told me "Just get the damn thing repainted!
392heminut Posted May 23, 2023 Report Posted May 23, 2023 I took it down across the border and in two months it was done. They had to totally strip the body (about 4 different paint jobs) and they fixed a Rallye hood that I thought was trashed!

One thing led to another and the car has new repro seatcovers, new carpet and a new dash pad too. Damn dash pad was $1200! Edited May 23, 2023 by 392heminut

392heminut Posted June 14, 2023 Report Posted June 14, 2023 Gotta love a black musclecar! Years back I had a 69 Roadrunner with a pretty much rustfree desert southwest body and no drivetrain, and I let it get away from me. I have no idea what I was thinking back then!
